Franchise Background: INGCO International was founded in China in 1995 and is the manufacturer of a wide range of industrial power tools, generators, hand tools and air tools, all carrying the INGCO brand. The company’s establishment was the result of well-known international brands opening their own manufacturing plants in China, having previously used INGCO to manufacture products on their behalf. This left the company with the know-how, experience and capacity, but without contracts to manufacture on behalf of other brands. The obvious consequence was to utlise their capabilities by developing the INGCO brand through their own extensive range of power tools and hand tools.The company has developed into a force to be reckoned with in the industry with distribution outlets in over 70 countries worldwide. In 2008, INGCO South Africa obtained the distribution rights for this country and has made significant inroads into the market with a number of service centres nationally.
